The Inspector Montalbano television series is an Italian police procedural based on Andrea Camilleri's detective novels, set in the fictional Sicilian town of Vigàta. Produced and broadcast by RAI to critical acclaim, the series stars Luca Zingaretti as Commissario Salvo Montalbano and has been broadcast in over 65 countries.
